The Eugene Ballet Company was in need of a couple of Afghan Hounds to perform in the lovely and romantic ballet "Giselle" October 8 & 9, 2005. Selected for the performance were Ch. Perfection's Guardian Angel "Gabriel" & Ch Perfection Dressed T'Impress "Ibn Tux". They had a wonderful time and managed to steal a few dancer's hearts.
Gabriel & Ibn are proudly loved and owned by Linda Jo Bugbee.
SPAY - NEUTER ASSISTANCE Our area is no different than many with a reproduction problem in our dog community. An unspayed bitch can produce produce up to 20 puppies in her lifetime. That means 20 puppies at risk of being homeless or under the needle of euthanasia. Because we care and because it is a hardship on many responsible dog owners we have launched a program to help. McKenzie Cascade Dog Fanciers donate $150.00 a month to a selected veterinarian in our area. Fifty dollars per dog will be donated to needy families to have their dog spayed or neutered. The veterinarian will then MATCH the $50.00. The remaining fee will be the responsibility of the dog owner. Donation jars will be circulated throughout the community with ALL donations going toward our spay/neuter program.

Our club has donated $1,000.00 to the AKC/AKC CAR Disaster Relief Fund.
